Everything you need to know about sourcing, certification, and partnering with Safari Herbs. Can’t find what you need?
Get in touchYes. Our herbs are grown under certified organic standards with batch-level documentation available for wholesale partners. Every shipment includes traceability data tied to partner farms in the Naromoru region.
We work with chefs, restaurants, specialty retailers, and distributors across East Africa and internationally. Contact our team for minimum order quantities, pricing tiers, and seasonal availability.
Each harvest is logged with batch codes, harvest dates, and farmer partnership records. Partners receive supply-chain summaries so you can verify origin, handling, and organic integrity at every step.
Our core line includes Winter Thyme, Lemon Thyme, Rosemary, Basil, Mint, Chives, Coriander, Sage, and Marjoram—each selected for flavor intensity, shelf stability, and culinary versatility.
Herbs are harvested at peak potency, cooled rapidly, and packed to preserve essential oils in transit. We coordinate delivery windows with partners to minimize time from field to kitchen or shelf.
Our farm is in the Naromoru area at the foothills of Mount Kenya, Nyeri County—approximately 160 km north of Nairobi at 1,900 metres above sea level. The highland climate near the equator allows us to grow premium fresh herbs year-round for export to the EU, UK, and UAE.
Our Naromoru farm operates under four recognised programmes: Organic Certified, KEPHIS, Global G.A.P., HCDA. Together they cover organic integrity, Kenyan plant-health and phytosanitary rules, global Good Agricultural Practice, and national horticultural export standards—supporting safe, documented shipments to the EU, UK, and UAE. Visit our Certification page for full details on each programme.
KEPHIS (Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service) is Kenya's authority for plant health and phytosanitary compliance. Our alignment with KEPHIS ensures export consignments meet importing-country pest and disease rules, with inspection records and phytosanitary certificates prepared for international buyers.
Global G.A.P. (Good Agricultural Practices) verifies food safety, worker welfare, and responsible farm management—from irrigation and integrated pest management to packhouse hygiene and cold-chain handoff. It is the framework our quality team uses to meet retailer and food-service expectations consistently.
HCDA (Horticultural Crops Directorate Authority) regulates Kenya's horticultural sector, including export registration, grading standards, and market access for fresh crops. Safari Herbs meets HCDA requirements so herb shipments are grade-consistent, properly documented, and aligned with national export procedures.
